Water Sapphire Iolite

Dive into the endless depths of the water sapphire – also known as iolite. With its magical play of color between blue, violet, and gray, this gemstone evokes the light on calm water surfaces under moonlight. Historically, iolite was revered by the Vikings as the "stone of navigation" – its optical double refraction helped seafarers and travelers keep their course, even when the sun was hidden. For hundreds of years it has therefore helped those who carry it to find their own path and walk it with confidence and clear decisions.

Each of our iolites is carefully selected as a rough gemstone and cut with the highest precision.

Patented exchange system

Our iolites are natural, untreated, loose single gemstones and are precisely compatible in 7, 10, or 14 mm sizes with our Clear Elegance jewelry collection. Thanks to our specially developed and patented gemstone exchange systems, you can change the stone yourself in many of our rings, necklaces, and bracelets – one day the deep blue, mysterious depth of the water sapphire, the next a different colored gemstone. Your day, your gemstone – always fitting and always exactly you.

Responsibility

As a proud German family business, we are committed to tradition, quality, and heart. Our gemstones are direct imports from mining regions and usually come from independent mines, which are often family-run as well. The rough gemstones are then precision-cut by us using our specially developed gemstone cut.

Out of conviction, all our gemstones are not only genuine but also untreated and natural—just as they were created by our Earth. We strictly reject all treatment methods such as dyeing, filling, heat treatment, or irradiation. To guarantee this, we inspect our gemstones both in our own laboratory and through independent labs. Give as a gift

We do our best to provide you and your gift recipient with a special gifting experience. All Pipek products are delivered in our iconic Pipek storage boxes. The box contains inserts that ensure the gift reaches the recipient in perfect condition and that the jewelry can then be safely stored at home or while traveling. During checkout you may have the option to add a personal message. This will be printed and enclosed in a Pipek signature envelope. All our orders – whether as a gift or for yourself – are shipped without a physical invoice or receipt, so no price is visible.
