Tahiti Pearl Ring
Born in the lagoons of the South Pacific, where one of the slowest-growing oysters in the world creates one of nature’s rarest treasures – the Tahitian pearl – openly set in a ring within a diamond-cut gold band. It takes up to 5 years for the black oyster, Pinctada margaritifera, to form the final millimeter of its unique black-gray nacre (mother-of-pearl layer). During this time, the oyster continuously filters the seawater of our ocean – each Tahitian pearl purifies up to 4 million L of seawater. In doing so, you actively help clean as much water as the annual household water use of 80 people. Thank you for making it possible for us to make our oceans a little cleaner <3
